Research Experience
DataWhys | Graduate Assistant | Dr. Andrew Olney | 2020
This project is implementing a tutoring system across various proficiency levels to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how people learn data science.
Monsters Invoke More Eeriness and Negative Emotional Responses than Human-Like Objects: Additions to the Uncanny Valley | Research Lead | Liam Fox & Brianna K. Muntz | 2020
The study examined the difference between levels of human-likeness, eeriness, and emotional response. We attempted to diminish the depth of the uncanny valley by altering species (human-like object or monster) and skin tone (natural or artificial).
Influences of Schizoanalysis on Artificial Intelligence | 2018
An argument for how the biases in artificial intelligence can occur through a post-structuralist take on societal interactions. Using Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari’s theory of schizoanalysis, a deduction of society’s desiring-productions can be mapped into metamodels that function similarly to deep learning neural networks.
